A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step….

Welcome to the first ever Telco Staff Newsletter!! This newsletter is an initiative of the Human Resources Department in order to try to keep the whole Telco family moving forward together.

We are now more than half way through the year… we have had some ups and some downs already in the first six months of 2015.

We continue to celebrate and thank the Lord that we continue to exist in such a tough market when we have seen many of our suppliers, competitors and even customers sinking underneath the weight of an economy that is continually slowing down. We lost one of our major customers in the form of Kingdom-Afrasia bank in March 2015 and this has dealt us a blow as this big corporate as well as many other smaller firms continue to shut their doors.

On a more positive note however we are still seeing strong DEMAND in the market for broadband services, especially fibre broadband. This strong demand is now not only present in Harare but in Bulawayo and many other towns and cities all over Zimbabwe.

We have started a number of fruitful projects in the Waterfalls, BrookeView, Hogerty Hill area (Harare), Selbourne Brooke (Bulawayo), Chegutu, Victoria Falls, Masvingo and Mutare. The prospects for broadband services are very bright!

OpenAccess is a new product that we all need to know about and fully engage with as this is the product that will cause us to grow in the mass market during 2015 and 2016.

Let us push towards achieving our goals for 2015 which include GREAT customer service defined by our Customer Value Proposition which is RESPONSIVENESS, ACCESSIBILITY, SOLUTIONS ORIENTATION & COMPETENCE.

If you would like to contribute to this monthly newsletter, send your news and updates to editor@telco.co.zw and we will ensure that your contributions are included in the Staff Newsletter.

Let’s make July 2015 a great month!

Mr Shadreck Nkala
CEO
